Persia - The Complete Collection (1988-1995) 2CD

STEELHEART Records is really happy to announce the signing of '80s-90s Hard Rock band PERSIA for its appreciated “Lost U.S. Jewels” Series.
PERSIA was formed in the New Jersey area during 1986, but it's only when guitar-virtuoso Mike Reid joined the band that things became serious and professional.
The band recorded their first demo tape "Read To Rock" in 1988 followed by a CD-EP in 1991, with Ricky McCoy as singer, Bill Boyer on the drums and Anthony Picone on bass, together with Mike Reid on guitar.
Playing many shows in local clubs such as "The Showplace", "Obsessions", "Studio One", "China Club" and "Arlington Lounge", PERSIA also had the chance to open for bigger bands such as Winger, Warrant, Skid Row, Don Dokken and Dee Snider's Widowmaker.
With a style influenced by Van Halen, Dokken, Aerosmith and Mr. Big, and also Judas Priest and Laaz Rockit (in the heavier songs) - still keeping its own identity - the band went thru' a few changes, and new members, singer Larry Atello and drummer Dave Wrenn joined PERSIA. With this line-up the band cut the cassette “Back On Top” and the final release "No Compromise” in 1995, touring the whole East Coast.
The release will be a de-luxe 2-Cd set, featuring ALL the material ever recorded by PERSIA in its story, with the usual 16 pages booklet, featuring tons of unseen pics, memorabilia and the story of the band.
