-Put together in Boston, MA, by guitarist Bill Bracken and female singer Carol Hammond (with drummer Dan Nottage and bass player Kevin Nelson), RARE FORM enjoyed a brief yet exciting few years on the New England and New York scene during the late 80s / early 90s.
-Over their five-year run (1989-1994), the band, built on guitar-histrionics and vocal gymnastics, released a steady stream of music, beginning with the 1990 cassette-EP ‘Reason to Be Nude’, followed by two full-length albums: 1992’s ‘When It All Falls Down’ and 1994’s ‘Get It Out’. They had a sound that drew comparisons to Heart, Saraya, Pat Benatar and White Lion.
-With Bracken, an award-winning guitarist, often featured in Guitar Player magazine, and Carol Hammond one of the great undiscovered vocalists, RARE FORM had it all!
